COSTA NOVA Industria Group took part in the event organized by CCDR Centro - “Circular Economy | A path to competitiveness and innovation in the Central Region” - held on June 16th at the Convento de São Francisco in Coimbra.
Jorge Carneiro, R&D Manager at COSTA NOVA Industria Group, presented the ECOGRES 4.0 project, a pioneering initiative that demonstrates the economic viability of the circular economy in the ceramics industry.
Jorge Carneiro emphasizes: "The Ecogres project proves the economic viability of the circular economy concept. By incorporating waste from both ceramic and non-ceramic industries in the region into our products, we have been able to develop even more sustainable items. Through ecodesign, it was possible to create a distinctive aesthetic while significantly reducing the consumption of raw materials and energy."
